West Suffolk College added to Roll of Honour

The latest addition to our Roll of Honour for outstanding achievement is West Suffolk College. A brief ceremony was held at the College on May 25th to mark this award.
The college said: “Thank you to Greene King Brewery, The Bury Society and Bury in Bloom for the certificate recognising ‘Outstanding Achievement within the Community’ for the efforts of our Animal Studies and Business students working together to make Bury St Edmunds a nicer place to live for both people and wildlife.”
Bury in Bloom were really amazed by the students’ drive to undertake the litter pick and loved that some of them were out yesterday undertaking a beach clean in Felixstowe with The UOcean Project. They found a bike, cigarette butts, fishing wire, bottle caps and lots of lolly sticks!

The College also added: “We’re very proud of how hard our students work to ensure the safety of our native wildlife species.”
The Bury Society’s Bury in Bloom is working with lots of other individuals and organisations to make Bury St Edmunds a cleaner, greener place to live.
