David Irvine Bury in Bloom Coordinator said:
‘The Green finger presentation awards has become a regular calendar event and the Athenaeum is a fitting location. Given the hot and dry weather the judges were amazed and delighted at the quality of entries they were shown. There were so many good entries we wanted to recognise, we once again introduced special awards. We have some very talented gardeners – of all ages – in Bury St Edmunds.’
Greenfingers Coordinator Fiona Till said:
‘We were overwhelmed by the quality and number of entries; it took our small judging team two weeks to complete the judging.’
In the past Care Home awards were made on location for health reasons, however we are delighted they are joining us for the full presentation.
