First Outstanding Achievement Award

The very first Outstanding Achievement in the Community Award has been presented to Otis Bligh. Seven yr old Otis with his very proud mum, Amanda, receives his award from the Chairman of The Bury Society Martyn Taylor at a small ceremony generously hosted by The Angel Hotel Bury St Edmunds.

Otis collected litter at the Bury St Edmunds Skate Park and then went onto raise £1000 to pay for two litter bins – a real community hero. ‘He raised enough for two bins which demonstrates the amount support his community gave him. We love that and want to recognise it’ said Bury in Bloom coordinator David Irvine.

Bury in Bloom are keen to recognise community achievement and hope to receive nominations of other community hero’s – either Individuals like Otis or groups. Please contact us by email on Coordinator@buryinbloom.org.uk – we really want to hear from you
