Crowning Glory wins

Bury in Bloom wins with Crowning Glory!!The Bury in Bloom entry in the Anglia in Bloom virtual competition that replaced the main competition this year has won with its recycled materials sculpture called ‘Crowning Glory’ Constructed by Michelle Freeman of ‘crafty foxes’ and sponsored by Treatt and Councillors locality budget the two metre high crown is made from 500 single use plastic bottle bases, decorated by families, care home residents and others and added to discarded tennis rackets, empty tin cans, bottle tops and chicken wire to produce winning entry. Crowning Glory remains on display in the Abbey Gardens until late September after which it will be stored and used in the 2021 Abbey 1000 celebrations.
