Results from Certificate of Merit

An amazing 53% increase in ‘Highly Commended’ awards is proof, if any were needed that Bury St Edmunds is blooming!

Results just in from the Bury in Bloom Certificates of Merit (also known as Front of Gardens Scheme) have now been compiled and show our judges handed out over 1800 Certificates of Merit – nearly 25% more than last year. In addition, nearly 100 people received the cherished Highly Commended Award a staggering 53% increase on 2019.

We do think that this is the ‘Silver Lining’ to the dark stay-at-home days of ‘Lock Down’ in April and May and the judges tell me how much they enjoy looking at your lovely gardens. Going by how proudly everyone displays the Certificates we think you enjoy it as well. I call that a Win Win!
