Certificates of Merit 2023

2023 was another challenging year for gardeners as weather was very unpredictable. This was the second year the judging had been based on the scoring system that was updated to reflect the RHS briefing to encourage more wildlife friendly/ sustainable  gardens but still reward traditional garden designs. Certificates of Merit continues to expand this year, incorporating  Marham Park and Lark Grange. Over 100 volunteer judges walked the streets of Bury St Edmunds reviewing over 20,000 gardens and awarding over 1500 Certificates of Merit. Judging started after Bury Hidden Gardens and any email queries post judging were looked into and resolved by the judging teams before the end of July.
