Certificates of Merit to go ahead!

David Irvine (Bury in Bloom Coordinator) says:

“I’m thrilled to tell you that the decision to go ahead with the Certificate of Merit Scheme – also known as the ‘Front of Garden’ Judging – has been taken and subject to certain conditions will take place during the week of the 13th to 19th July.
It has taken many hours of patient discussion and debate and of course we have had to introduce new judging ‘Protocol’ and ‘Risk Assessments’ however subject to the re-imposition of government restrictions, the 90+ judges will be in YOUR PART OF TOWN from the 13th July.
Remember: We only judge the front gardens and if you are awarded a cherished certificate please contain your excitement and exercise social distancing – No hugging the judges!”
