GARDENS OF BURY

June 2008 was their 22nd amazing year!
The popular Hidden
Gardens event on Sunday proved a massive success
with money raised going to the St Nicholas
Hospice.
Hundreds of visitors
from far and wide explored gardens and the famed
floral displays of the historic town, with
delighted organisers predicting a successful
event.
"It went very well, it
was an excellent day weather wise and we sold
considerably more tickets than last year. The
event brings so many people into the town and
Bury looked beautiful" Elizabeth Barber
-Lomax.
Each year about 30
gardens in the centre of Bury open to visitors,
with the event regularly attracting more than
2,000 people and raising more than £150,000 for
the hospice to date.
